Ranking matters a lot especially when it comes to Universities.

So, here we have a refined list of top 5 five universities.

NOTE:The ranking is based on quality education,degree evaluation ,highly qualified teachers and faculty,using modern teaching aids and building social and community relationships.


Pakistan Institute of Applied Sciences started it’s journey in 1967 when a “Reactor School” was built to launch courses for young engineers and scientists.It was affiliated with Quaid-i-Azam University at that time.

Later on,the “Reactor School” was upgraded and renamed the Center for Nuclear Studies.As this institute kept growing ,a separate building was established in 1978.By the passage of time it’s name was changed to PIEAS due to enhancement of activities.

So,if we say that PIEAS is one of the best engineering university in Pakistan then it wouldn’t be wrong.


Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in South (COMSATS) was proposed by TWAS to be led by Nobel  Laureate Dr. Abdus Salam in 1998.

COMSATS currently offers 39 undergraduate prorams,57 graduate programs and 1 Associate Degree Program(ADP) with a total of 97 programs.Modern teaching aid are being used by COMSATS making it more easier to learn.

This institute has 8 well developed and equipped campuses all across the country and it has 10 research centers.

3.Lahore University of Management – LUMS

Lahore University of Management is one of the finest educational institute providing world class education.It was established in 1985.

The Board of Governors National Management Foundation (NMF) are the sponsors of LUMS who own all of the land and university buildings.

LUMS is currently offering a vast range of programs at it’s:

2.University of Punjab Lahore

University of Punjab is one of  the largest university of Pakistan established in 1982.It’s alumni includes the people who are serving in and outside the Pakistan at higher ranks.It is the only university of Pakistan that has:

  • 5 campuses
  • 13 Faculties
  • 73+ departments
  • 614 affiliated colleges
  • 36,000 students (on campus)

One of it’s campuses is named after the national poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal and the other is named after the Quaid-i-Azam.Quad-i-Azam campus is spread over 1800 acres and a canal is also a part of this campus increasing it’s beauty.

1. Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad

Quaid-i-Azam University which was early named Islamabad University was built in July 1967 under an act of National Assembly.Right now,Quaid-i-Azam University is one of the best educational institute serving more than 5,000 students at this time.

Moreover,Quaid-i-Azam university has established relationships with some of the international educational institutes in Europe and US.
